2026 Scholarship
Must be graduating from a high school in the Montebello Unified School District.
Must be applying, accepted or enrolled at an accredited institution of higher education as a full- time undergraduate student pursuing an academic discipline or in a trade school. (Students enrolled in community or junior colleges are also eligible to apply provided they intend to enroll in and obtain a bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited institution.)
Minimum 2.75 GPA.
One (1) letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor or community member who is not a relative.
Letter of acceptance from a community college or four-year institution and/or proof of registration of classes.
Proof of registration must have your name visible. Proof of registration in college classes must be provided to the FMUSDF before the scholarship check will be issued.
Must demonstrate financial need. Tax forms, Nutrition Assistance Letter, FAFSA applications are accepted. (If AB540, please provide a copy of Dream Act Application)
Transcripts.
Please submit this form and all of your scholarship materials by Friday, April 17th, 2026.

NEW! 2026 Scholarship Tech and Trade Grant
Launched this year, the Tech and Trade Grant offers awards of up to $1,000 for MUSD high school or adult school students pursuing careers in trade or technical fields like welding, construction, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, automotive tech, manufacturing, health sciences, culinary arts, cosmetology, etc.
Must be Montebello Unified School District high school or adult school student.
Must be enrolled in an accredited skilled trade or Career Technical Education program. Eligible institutions include community college, publicly funded vocational/adult schools (such as those offered by MUSD or LAUSD), and trade union apprenticeship programs. Programs offered by private colleges or technical training programs are not eligible.

Verification/acceptance letter or proof of enrollment from an educational or training institution as described above.
